Multiple yahoo messenger registry hack

We can use yahoo messenger and talk to many of our friends at a time . But what if we want to open two yahoo messenger using 2 seperate ID’s . By default yahoo messenger doesnt support multiple login .But here is a registry trick to open two yahoo messenger windows and login to two separte accounts fropm the same computer .

Please note that this simple tweak will change the registry editor, and therefore we need to take proper backup before making changes to the registry. Tweak the registry will change the amount of Yahoo Messenger window which will run simultaneously.

This simple method is to download a registry key, do the unzip and then double-click. If there is a confirmation window appears, click Apply to save changes. This tweak works only for Yahoo Messenger 9.1 and below.

Disable USB deives via registry

USB drive is the easiest method for copying data from one computer from another . At the same time it is a threat to users who do not want their private data to be stolen . Here is a little registry hack to prevent somone from copying data from your PC using a USB drive .

Go to start menu and type ‘regedit’ without quotes. Click on the regedit.exe to open windows registry .Navigate to “[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\StorageDevicePolicies] ” . And create a dword value “WriteProtect”=dword:00000001 .  

To re enable the USB write feature change the value from ‘1′ to ‘0′ .

Or simple use the below registry files. Download them and just open them in your computer to enable and diable the USB write feature .

Fine tune your Audio in vista

Here are some simple steps to fine tune the audio of your pc to make sure that you are using all capabilities of your system .

Go to control panel >hardware and sound

Then Select Manage audio devices

Then select your speaker system and click on properties

Select enhanacements , you can see many options like virtual surround,bass boost,room correction .Select which one you want and press preview to hear the sound

Then click on advanced and select the sound quality you want .

According to your sound card peoperties, you may see many other options. Fine tune your system for the best audio it can provide.

Enable or Disable UAC From the Windows 7 / Vista using Command Line

In the earlier post we discussed about enabling or disabling UAC from GUI . Here we are explaining about how to achieve the same using the command line .

Go to start menu and type “cmd” and select “cmd.exe” ,

right click on “cmd.exe” and select”Run as administrator” , select yes in the nest window .Enter admin account details if necessary

Disable UAC

UAC or User account Control is a safety feature introduced in widows vista to disable hazardous chages to system files by unauthorised programmes . But many users finds this feature quite annoying . So here is a command line method to disable UAC for windows vista /7

Hassle free Remote administration

Connecting two computer via ad hoc network -wirelessly – windows vista(7)

Go to start menu and “network and sharing centre “(just type “network “  and a list will come select “network and sharing centre ” from there .

Click next and enter a network name password of your choice . click next

Then a window will popup saying the network is created successfully .

Now go to the laptop and search for wirless network , and you will see the new ad hoc wirless network we just created . Click on that name and click connect .

After connecting go to network and sharing center and select public folder sharing on (only if you want to share folders or files among the computers .

Save minimized document from prying eyes – locking software

Disable InPrivate Browsing in explorer 8

In the point of view of a user using an unknown computer , it is very useful. But consider the case , you want to monitor activities of your employees in your office . If they are using private browsing, there wont be any records about the websites . So here is how to disable it
