Ever opened your website to find that all the adsense ads have completely disappeared, you don’t see the usual white spaces instead of the ads but the ads are completely gone and the borders from different columns have merged.
It happened to me, I tried opening the site in IE, Opera, Firefox, still the same, tried opening my other sites with adsense and even DP, still the same result.
After searching for a good day and a half, I stumbled across someone elses posting to find a solution. After curing my problem, the first thing that came to my mind was to inform everyone on DP and earn some greens in the process

OK for everyone with the same issue, you need to browse to;
C:Windows:System32:drivers:etc:HOSTS

open HOSTS in notepad, look for these entries;

# [Google Inc][Restricted Zone site]
127.0.0.1 adwords.google.com
127.0.0.1 pagead.googlesyndication.com
127.0.0.1 pagead2.googlesyndication.com
127.0.0.1 adservices.google.com
127.0.0.1 www.googleadservices.com

delete these and save HOSTS ( make sure you save it as the original file and not as .txt )

Now open your browser again and check yor sites, all should be good now.
————————

This poses some serious concerns for webmasters with adsense websites. I have no idea how I acquired these entries in the HOSTS file but they got there. I could have acquired them when I downloaded kazaalite but not sure. Most importantly, I had a reason to find out the cure as I wanted to view my sites with adsense showing, Imagine the normal visitors who have the same entries, they won’t bother looking for a cure as they dont need to. As a matter of fact they won’t even realise they have an issue as they visit new websites etc.

As a blogger one of our aim is to become popular,isnt it? . We might be able to do this by optimizing our blog or by using the popular social networking mediums out in net these days. I am sure that is great and can really increse our blog popularity, but as you know they are not in your control. The only thing that we have in your hand is the blog articles, so here are i am sharing some ideas ideas to increse your blog traffic the content on your blog.
Break news

News spreads through the blogosphere like a wildfire. If the news is hot everyone else will start writing on it and link back to where they found it. In most cases it is not easy to break news due to thousands of people trying to do the same thing. But if you can find the time to break news people will link to your blog as well as read it on a regular basis so they can be up-to-date on the latest happenings.
Post on weekends

There is a good chance that your readers also read other blogs. Because of the sheer number of blogs that post on a daily basis they probably don’t have time to read all of them. If you post when your readers have time, such as the weekends, there is a good chance that they will read your blog. Look around at all of the blogs in your industry, there is a good chance that most will not post on weekends. I know that some may not agree with this idea, but it is something to consider if you have the time on weekends.

Write timeless posts

Try not to only write blog posts with a lifespan of 1 week, mix it up a little by writing on things that are timeless. Those posts might not be a smash hit right out of the gate, but they might become popular a couple months down the road. So try to also write things that can last for longer then 1 day or 1 week.

Teach don’t sell

A lot of people are starting to blog because they want to make money. There is nothing wrong about making money or even blogging to make money, but try not to make a sales pitch in your blog posts. If you try to educate and teach people through your blog, it is possible that people will think of you as an authority in your industry which can lead to all kinds of great opportunities.
Join in on conversations

Emailing out bloggers and asking them for links can be an effective approach to increase your traffic. But another good way to increase your popularity is by joining in on conversations. A good example of this is when Rohit Bhargava wrote 5 Rules of Social Media Optimization; after thousands of people saw it and started adding to it the list grew to the 17 rules of Social Media Optimization.

Making a blog popular is a challenging proposition especially with all the new blogs popping up every day. The best thing to do is write quality, useful content about topics that really interest you, remember people are waiting to hear what you have to say, don’t waste their time!

best of luck with your blogs . as you know more traffic means more money .

Hi hereis how you can randomiza the adsense ad colour format . this is just a simple php function. every coder can code it in under a minute, but i’m writing this for those who can’t I coded it for myself, and thought some may find it useful.

what does it do:
it randomizes any color of your ads for each visitor, each time.

what you will need:
1. a host that supports php

steps
1. add this function to wherever your functions are, or to the page you have adsense ads.

Code:

function randomcolor()
{
$r = rand(0, 200);
$g = rand(0, 200);
$b = rand(0, 200);

$colorcode = base_convert($r, 10, 16).base_convert($g, 10, 16).base_convert($b, 10, 16);
echo($colorcode);
}

2. when adding your adsense code, edit it like this:

Code:

google_color_border = "FFFFFF";
google_color_bg = "FFFFFF";
google_color_link = "";
google_color_text = "000000";
google_color_url = "000000";

you can apply to any other color codes as you wish. but be advised that, currently it is optimized for white background. if you wish to change it, you may need to edit those 3 lines:

Code:

$r = rand(0, 200);
$g = rand(0, 200);
$b = rand(0, 200);

they generate colors which are not so close to white, so that google will not use default colors instead of yours.
